D'où vient le
mot "Uropi" ?
Certains

Where does the
word "Uropi come from ?
Some
people may have wondered "Where does
the word Uropi come from ?"
In
fact it is an ancient word which meant "European" in old Uropi. But
recently, surfing on the "Net", I discovered that Uropi was also a
Maori word: in Maori, it means "Europe".
Thus we can see that Uropi is not exclusively limited to Indo-European languages. It is also an opening on to other languages. Indeed, many small Uropi grammatical words like te, ki, i, kej, mo, to, maj, a, ka, ma, o, ko, na, he, aj (that, with, I, whose? to me, to you, more, to, me, or, where?, us, he, yes) are very similar to Maori words: te, ki, i, kei, mō, tō, mai, a, ka, ma, o, ko, nā, he, ai. Unfortunately they haven't got the same meaning.
